DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: 11 April 2026

HjemVei ("we", "us", "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines the procedures for reporting copyright infringement on hjemvei.com in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998.

1. Overview

If you believe that content hosted on HjemVei infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. We will respond promptly to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material. We also provide a process for counter-notification if you believe content was wrongly removed.

2. Filing a Copyright Complaint

To file a DMCA takedown notice, please send a written communication to our designated agent (see Section 4) that includes the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered, provide a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material — The URL(s) or other specific identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it.
  3. Your contact information — Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement — A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Note: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted on HjemVei was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our designated agent. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location where the material appeared before it was removed.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and restore the removed material within 10–14 business days, unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

4. Designated Agent

All DMCA notices and counter-notifications should be sent to our designated copyright agent:

HjemVei Copyright Agent
Email: copyright@hjemvei.com

5. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, HjemVei has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to our platform and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
